LIVE ONLINE CHARACTER DRAWING CLASSES
Character Drawing Studio is a fun, interactive live online drawing program for young artist that love characters, fantasy, cartoons, and storytelling. Each session feels less like a traditional class and more like a creative studio where young artists draw alongside professional fine artist Angel M. Alvarez.
Each membership includes:

Students may follow the exact drawing or invent their own version of the prompt — both approaches are encouraged. No prior experience is required. Beginners and more advanced young artists will both find the sessions engaging, challenging, and fun.

THE 26 CHARACTER DRAWING CONCEPTS
The Character Drawing Studio follows a rotating series of 26 core artistic concepts designed to help young artists gradually develop strong drawing and character design skills. Each week begins with a short introduction to one of these key ideas, followed by a guided drawing session where students apply the concept while creating their own original characters.
The concepts cover a wide range of essential artistic skills including gesture, silhouette, form and structure, asymmetry, expression, strong poses, character personality, composition, and visual storytelling. By revisiting these ideas over time through new drawing challenges, students deepen their understanding and steadily improve their ability to bring imaginative characters to life.
Because the concepts rotate throughout the year, students can join the program at any time and continue learning as they encounter each concept in the cycle. As the rotation repeats, returning students revisit the same ideas with greater confidence and artistic maturity, reinforcing the skills that form the foundation of strong character design.
